Landscape Maintenance Account Manager

Schonheit Gardens Landscaping is a full-service landscaping company and a seasonal retail nursery located in the town of Sun Prairie, WI, just 3 miles outside of the City of Madison. We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our growing team of landscape professionals as a Landscape Design and Sales Manager.

The Landscape Design and Sales Manager is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients from initial design through completed installation.  Qualified applicants will have professional experience creating inspired outdoor spaces for our clients, will value teamwork and will have a positive attitude.  A successful candidate will perform a range of professional landscape design assignments in a fast-paced work environment.   

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work individually and as part of a team, demonstrating a strong work ethic and is committed to professional excellence. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all the qualifications, but have sufficient experience and talent.

Responsibilities Include:

• On site meetings with clients, perform site evaluations and take off measurements

• Create and sell detailed designs using scaled illustrations and graphics to convey vision of the project

• Estimate time, labor, and materials to determine overall cost of projects

• Submit plant material orders to our Green Goods Buyer and lay out plant material for installations

• Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

• Must be well organized and possess careful attention to procedural details and follow through

• Ability to plan and effectively organize multiple projects at a time is critical and expected

• The ability to interact positively and professionally with people is a must as this position has a high demand of client and staff interaction

Qualifications Include:

• 1-3 years landscape design experience with plant knowledge and design creativity

• A working knowledge of Auto Cad or similar design software and MS Office Suite

• Ability to learn and work in operational software efficiently

• Must be able to communicate effectively

• A genuine passion for landscaping and a desire to learn and grow in the industry

• Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and good driving record
