Schönheit Gardens Landscaping is a full-service landscaping company and a seasonal retail nursery located in the town of Sun Prairie, WI, just 3 miles outside of the City of Madison. We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our growing team of landscape professionals as a Landscape Design and Installation Manager. We are known for our unique designs, attention to detail, and outstanding customer service.

Description of Position: The Landscape Design and Installation Manager is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to clients from initial design through the completed installation of the project. Qualified applicants will have a desire to create inspired outdoor living spaces for our clients, will value teamwork, and will have a positive and upbeat attitude.

Specific responsibilities include the following:

Sales Management

o   Create landscape designs and estimates

o   Meeting with clients to perform site consultations

o   Generation of new sales opportunities

 Project Management

o   Determine and schedule necessary labor, material, and equipment for projects.

o   Schedule and coordinate projects and timelines directly with the client.

o   Provide consistent and timely communication with customers and team members throughout the entire project.

o   Oversee adherence to plans and quality of work.

o   Recommend modifications based on field conditions, client requests, and/or supply issues.

o   Provide client follow up as needed.

Manage, Train, and Develop Crews

o   Communicate with team members on installations

o   Utilize hands-on training philosophies and demonstrate a strong work ethic through your example.

o   Promote safety, performance and well-being of all crews.

o   Enforce company policies if and when necessary.

Necessary Skills/Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of landscape sales experience with plant knowledge and design creativity. Ability to learn and work in operational software efficiently.

• Must be able to properly and efficiently complete necessary job site and company paperwork. Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers. Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and good driving record. Must be available for overtime hours as needed throughout the season. Design software experience is preferred but not necessary.
